McAuliffe Reveals Just How Unpopular Biden Is For His Campaign

It’s clear that President Joe Biden’s ratings are plummeting and he grows more unpopular by the moment, but even Democrats running for office don’t want to be tied back to his reputation. In a recent Zoom call, Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe admits that Joe Biden is “unfortunately” very unpopular in the state today. The clip was posted on the Republican National Committee Research Twitter page.

“We got to get Democrats out to vote. We are facing a lot of headwinds from Washington, as you know. The president is unpopular today, unfortunately, here in Virginia, so we have got to plow through,” McAuliffe said.

It wasn’t the best PR moment for McAuliffe, a Democrat candidate for governor and former head of the Democrat National Committee, to admit on a conference call how unpopular Biden is – but that’s how bad things are. Not to mention, Virginia is known as one of the “Biden-supporting” swamp states. If he’s unpopular in the Democratic stronghold of Virginia, then he must be wildly unpopular everywhere else as well. Republican candidate Glenn Youngkin is only down by one point and there’s still a month left until the Georgia elections.

In normal circumstances, a presidential endorsement would be effectively used during a campaign season. But since Joe Biden controls the White House, his presence is nothing but a liability. Democrats spent nearly four years painting Trump to be the worst thing for America just to turn around and replace him with someone only causing them more damage. It hasn’t even been a full year since his Inauguration.

One of the latest polls from Quinnipiac showed Biden’s job approval at 38%, which is an unprecedented new low.

McAuliffe has struggled throughout most of the Georgia elections, especially after a September incident where he was in clear violation of a federal mask order. It’s clear that many Democrats believe the “rules are for thee and not for me,” including McAuliffe. He has also gotten short-tempered with a Virginia sheriff during a Q&A session where he was asked if he supports defunding the police. McAuliffe got “huffy” and snapped back at the sheriff that he doesn’t care what he believes. It didn’t come as a surprising question since many Democratic leaders have backed defund the police movements while GOP candidates stand strong behind backing the blue.

Many people pointed out McAuliffe’s temper, including Matt Wolking, the communications director for his opponent, Youngkin.

“Terry McAuliffe explodes on a Virginia sheriff when confronted over his support for ending qualified immunity and his embrace of groups that want to defund the police. Treating law enforcement officers with such contempt is disqualifying,” Wolking tweeted.

McAuliffe has also claimed that parents shouldn’t have a say in what the schools teach their children. He said he’s not going to let parents come into the schools and make their own decisions, adding that he stopped the bill in which parents shouldn’t be telling schools what to teach. Youngkin argued back that he believes parents should be in charge of their kids’ education.

The election will be a big indicator to see if voters are blind to the dangers of the Democrats or if they will keep implementing the same tyrannical leaders. California kept Gov. Gavin Newsom in and the state is now facing federal vaccine mandates and forced race-baiting classes. McAuliffe is short-tempered, irrational, and can’t even get the president on his side – not that it would help his case.
